In the House of Commons Mr. Thorne gave notice of motion calling the attention of the Government to the Swift and Armour meat companies’ projected extensive after-the-war operations in Queensland and New Zealand, and asking whether, in view of the Beef Trust’s domination of the Argentina, the Imperial Government would communicate with the colonies in order to secure permanently the present Government control of Australasian meat supplies and ascertain if they have any suggestions to make in regard to Jmperial assistance in developing n eat supplies. ________
