Mr Hughes, commenting on Mr Lloyd-George’s interview, said thatowing no .doubt as to what the conference would deal with, he had hitherto purposely refrained from express-, sing any opinion, but the necessity for direct representation was now clear, and it was imperative Australia should be directly represented.
