FAMOUS AIRMAN DEAD.

ONCF COVERED NEARLY 1000 MILES IX A DAY. Sub-Lieut. Brindejone ties Moulinais, one of the most brilliant French aviators, has been killed in the limrdun region in a tall caused by-? a-Vo breaking of an essential part of bis aeroplane. Brindejone, who was only twentyfour, was the hero of many aviation exploits before the war. After two successive accidents in the early part of his career, Brindejone won many records in altitude and distance, and became a master in the art of flying m strong winds and rainstorms. One of liis big feats was a flight from Paris to London- He returned by way of Calais and Brussels, having accomplished the journey in a single day. His famous exploit was his tour of the capitals of Europe. Starting from Villa-coublay in June, 1913, early in the morning, he lunched in Berlin and dined at Warsatv. leaving oovered nearly 1000 miles in a single day. Continuing his tour, l}e called at Potrograd, Stockholm, Copenhagen, The Hague, and so returned to, / Paris. Brindejone, who was decorated with the Legion of Honor before the war, has since rendered .Brilliant services, Being entrusted l with the often difficult and important missions of reconnaissance.
