MESOPOTAMIA CAMPAIGN.
POSITION AT KUT-EL-AMARA. TURKISH TRENCHES INUN- ' DATED. LONDON, Feb. 3. Mr. Candler (the British correspondent with the forces in Mesopotamia) states that a rise in the river has inundated the Turkish portion of Kut-el-Amara, and the enemy evacuated the entire length of the trenches on our north-west front, falling back two thousand yards. General Townshend’s reconnoitring patrol advanced two hundred yards, and occupied twenty-two rows of deep trenches, and a mde of communications honeycombing the whole position. General Townshend telegraphs daily by wireless to the force advancing up the Tigris.
