LOCAL PRODUCE REPORTS. Messrs Samson Bros., atu tioncors, report the following prices at their usual weekly sale on Saturday:— Poultry: We had a fine lot in the pens and all mot with ready sale. White Leghorns 2s 7d, other lines 2s 3d to 2s 6d, cockerels Is 9d to 2s, ducks 2s 5d to 2s Gd, eh idles Bdto 10d, Eggs, Is 9d per don, butter Is per lb, honey 4d per lb, potatoes (best quality) 10s per sack, tomatoes 2d per tb, pumpkins Is each.. Fruit: Supplies are short and the pears 2ld per lb, apples 2d, poaches demand is good. Plums 3pl per lb, 2d. Small vegetables at usual market rates.

The New Zealand Loan and Mortice Agency Co., Ltd., rej»ort on Ulicir stock sale held at Matawhero yards on Thursday, a-s follows:—The attendance was rather above the average, competition was keen, and a good sale resulted, prices being well mbaintained. if not .slightly in advance cf recent ruling rates. Sheep.—Our entry comprised for the most part owes, and u’l good sound lots brought exceptional values. Our yardig comprised 5647, cf which we sold 4661 at. following range of values; Ewes (potetrs) 2s 6d to 4s 9d, culls 5s to 8s 6d, bettor lines 9s to 10s. 5 and 6-year-old owes 16s 6d to 11s 6d, whilst one nice line brought 14s, ewes mixed ages 13s, 6-tooth to 4-year old in low condition 10s to 12s 9d, 4-tooth ewes 13s 9d to 14s 6d, 2-tootlii ewes (of wliiclr there was a large entry) from lls 2d to 12s Gd for small cheep, 13s to 14s 7d medium lines, whilst one line of real'y good 2-tooth made 17s 6d. Fat ewes were in small supply, and demand was not brisk. We made sales at 13s. Lambs were a small entry and were in request. We sold culls at 3,s sd, average lines of lambs m wool 8s to 10s, but we li.au not really first-class lambs yarded. Wethers were a small entry. We sold 2-tooth at 14s 6d to 14s lOd. Rams: 4-fcotli Romney made from ljgs to 2Jgs, whilst cu’l rams of various breeds sold at 15s to 18s. Cattle.—A small yarding; our entry was S 7, cf which we sold 80 at following quotations: Fat cows, lightweights £4 15s to £5, overage lines £6 to £6 12s sd, whi’st £8 7s 6d topped the market. Fat steers: Only a few came forward which we sold at £7, 2-year-old steers (stores) made £4 15s, ISmos. £3 16s, yearlings £2 ss, calves (small) 10s. better lines 23s 6d to 355, ISmos. heifers £3 to £3 3s 6d. Pigs.—We yarded 15, which appeared in demand. Slips made from 25s to 27.5, porkers 30s to 355. We sell again at Matawhero yards on Thursday, the 12ch instant, and have several lines of really prime sheep already entered.
