COLLAPSE OF THE CONFERENCE.
[UNITED press association —ccptbightJ (Received Feb. 24. 10.45 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 24. The Building Strike Conference came to an abrupt termination.
The employers suggested that the unions should give financial guarantees that the agreements would be promptly observed. The men’s delegates deferred the monetary pledge and suggested that the executives would deal with men violating the agreements. The Masters replied that the offer was useless, and refused to recognise the Industries Federation.
The men have approached the Labor M.P.’s with a view to Parliamen-t-arv intervention.
