WOMAN’S DISMEMBERED BODY . FOUND.

[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.] NEW YORK, Sept. 14. A case equalling the Crippcn murder developed here with the discovery of the dismembered body of a woman in ‘the river.' The torso of the body was found first, afterwards the head, then other remains, whereby the woman was identified as Mannetto Day, aged 23 years, a machine oi>crator on women’s garments. She was engaged by a young married surgeon, who recently disappeared. , , The police assert that the dismemberment of the body was undoubtedly done by sofnconc accustomed to surgical work.

Hans Schmidt, who is charged with the murder of Anna Aumaller, whoso dismembered body was recently discovered. The deed was done because he loved her. He married deceased and himself performed the ceremony, which was not witnessed.
