MARCONI DISPUTES.
CHESTERTON LIBEL SUIT,
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPY\IGB C.] LONDON, May 28. In the course of evidence taken in the trial of Cecil Chesterton, editor of “The Eye-Witness,” for alleged libel in connection with the Marconi scandals. the Postmaster-General, Mr Herbert Samuel, testified ihat during the negotiations hp did not know that any of his colleagues were shareholders in the American Company. He refused to assent to Godfrey Isaacs’ suggestion to treat the cause terminating the agreement at any time as secret. . He understood that A ickers, Limited, would have bought the Thames ironworks.

It is reported that the Marconi Committee is sharply divided on party lines, and neiffler side approves ot Sir Albert Spicer's dfaft report, some Liberals taking exception to a paragraph wherein he refers to the Minister's errors of judgment.
