The whole of the Blue Mountain townships are en fete. Ono thousand school children participated iu the ceremony.
Speeches by _ ministers . and others eulogised the pioneers. Chains of beacons crowning the hilltops right across tho ranges made a unique and splendid spectacle.
Numbers of firo balloons were ro-loa-sed.
