DAMAGES FOR SLANDER.
AN AUCKLAND CASE. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] AUCKLAND, May 28: At the Supreme Court to-day an action for slander was brought by Christina Danzey against William Monahan, £2OO damages being claimed. Defendant was alleged to have accused Mrs Danzey of theft and made other allegations against her character. The jury awarded £l4O damages.
