Mr. J. C. Parker left yesterday for Auckland.

Mr Ernest Arthur Bull, of Tokomaru Bay, was married at St. Andrew’s Church vesterdav to Miss Madge MacDonell, daughter of Mr J. A. MacDonell, of Patutahi.

■ Mr. F. J. O’Neill, of Messrs. Sargoed, Son, and Ewon, leit for Auckland yesterday, on transfer, and his place will be taken by Mr. George Sloan, of Messrs. Pettie and Co.

Mr. H. G. ML Priestly, of the local Pub’ic Works clerical staff, has received notice of his transfer, cat promotion, to Dunedin, and lie leaves for the South on Sunday. His successor is Mr. John Murphy, of Wellington.

Among the passengers for the South by the Takapuna last evening was Mr. A. J. Paterson, _ex-Borough Engineer, who is journeying to Wellington in response to somewhat unfavorable news of the health cf his father, who has been lying ill in a Wellington private hospital for some weeks.

Mr Gill Inglis was married by Adjutant Melksham at To Karaka yesterday to Miss Laura Evelyn Morgan, "fifth daughter of Air M. G. Morgan. Mr and Airs Inglis will enter the Salvation Armv training home at Wellington, and left for the South lastevening. Prior to their departure Air and Airs Inglis were entertained at the Army Barracks and presented with a handsome cabinet or cut Dry, suitably inscribed.
