HOCKEY.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The Poverty Bay Hockey Association Executive met last evening in the British Empire Hotel. Present— Messrs A. Ross (in the chair), V. Dooling, W. Lewis, B. Lucas, G. Buscke, M. G. Oman, W. Farquhar, D. Castle. A. Cassrn, 0. R. Olsen and F. Cramp. ' Ten names were added to lists of W various clubs. The Tournament and Entertainment Committee reports were received. _ High'Schools were granted, permission to play their match on Wednesday next. _ Mr Lucas proposed and- Mr Lewis seconded, That a representative match between the 'Thursday and Saturday
players be held on June 3; also a match betyeen last year’s ladies’ representatives and the rest of Poverty Bay ladies on the same date. —lf ) va s decided to hold the executive meeting on Monday next instead of i i jesday on account of the holiday. The following fixtures were drawn up for Thursday:— ■ Ladies.—Gisborno v. Old Girls, 3 p.m., reserve, No. 1. Gents.—Mira v. Tukapa, 3 p.m., Reserve No. 2 • Kia Oro v. Te Rau, 3 p.m., Reserve No. 3.
