METAL CARTS. {To tho Editor.) Sir,—l would wish to draw the attention of the public of Gisborne to tho fact that they have for some time past born patiently the conduct of the drivers of drays * and metal carts. These men seem never to have hoard of such a tiling as the “rule of the road.” for they come along in the middle of tho road reading a paper or a magazine, and never dream of looking to see d anybody is tei.-n g. It is known that the roads at present are not as good as they might be, and when a drayman monopolises the-n-hole piece of road that is useable and you are turned into bogs and mud it is hardly good enough. With all duo deference to the inspector of traffic, I would beg to be able to say that I think this fault could bo remedied. —I am, etc., THE OPPRESSED ONE.
