AROUND THE HALL

There were four stalls in all, and every portion of the parish had adequate representation at these. The stalls were nicely arranged and contained the usual illimitable variety of saleable articles, chiefly the handiwork of the lady enthusiasts, while a fair proportion of the goods were donated by residents. The arrangement of the stalls was excellent and in tlie set-out and display of the goods there were distinct evidences of a feminine touch. The business transacted by the stallholders, therefore, was entirely satisfactory and good monetary results can be chronicled. Diversion was lent by a number of charming selections, discoursed by an orchestra, from town and vocal items by a party of Gisborne entertainers also served to complete an altogether delightful evening. The orchestra comprised Airs Grayson (piano), 'and Messrs « Kingsland (flute), Pick ford (cornet) and James Vita (violin). Songs were rendered by Airs Quirk. Aliss Clifford, Air J.
