Foster is safe at anchorage at Totova. [The schooner Lyman I). Forster, bound from Puget Sound to Suva wth a million feet of lumber, was caught in a hurricane off Twisle Island, in the Lau Group, on loth ult.. and dismasted. Tim rudder and all boats were damaged, and a third of the cargo was swept away. Captain Hillman and Id of the crew built a raft, and abandoned th** ship on the Thursday, and ro.udn*d th“ island of Kabaru. Thence they took a cutter to Levuka, arriving on the Sunday.]
