DAZZLING SCENE IN HYDE PARK. KING REVIEWS HIS TROOPS. ‘INDEPENDENT PEESS CABLE] LONDON, April 30. The King reviewed the Brigade ol Foot Guards in Hyde Park to-day. A dazzling galaxy of high officers accompanied his Majesty, who, attired in tho full uniform of a colonel of guards, rode at the head of the party on a fine charger. The Queen and Princess Mary were present in tho State Landau, drawn by four horses. Field-Marshal Lord Roberts, FieldMarshal Lord Methuen, and General Sir J. D. P. French were among the notabilities in the entourage, a number of foreign military attaches in the varied and brilliant uniforms of their respective countries, bringing up tho rear. •

They halted within 100 yards of the Royal’dais, and presented arms. The massed bands played the National Anthem, and as the last notes died away Major-General Sir A. E. Codring'ton, general officer commanding the London district, rose in his stirrups and called for three cheers tor the King and Queen. The men responded heartily, waving their busbies on the ends of their bayonets. Tho King subsequently said: “I feel proud to be the Gelonel-in-Ohief of ■such a splendid body of men.”
