A TREATY PROLONGED. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT] (Received Sent. 9, 11.20 p.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, Sept. 9. The Treaty of 1881 relating to Hi lias been prolonged for a decade.
ITlie Russian Minister at Peking has intimated that owing to China’s ignoring proposals to revise the treaty of St. Petersburg in 1811, Russia, in accordance with article 15, has decided that the treaty shall continue for ten years, hilt the special concession of duty and free trade in a zone of filtv versts on either side of the frontier will he abolished on the Russian side next year .Russia will not object to simultaneous abolition of privileges on the Chinese sided
