THE DISAPPEARANCE OF “ BOBBY ” SMITH.
VERDICT OK FOUND DROWNED
[PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.! CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 9. At the inquest oil the body of Harold (Bobby) Smith, the medical man who made' the post-mortem examination stated that lie could find no fracture of any limb and no sign or violence. He ascribed death to drowning. Emily Smith, the boy’s stepmother, said she last saw him between 4 and n.m. tm July 12. He was then athome in the 'kitchen and witness gave him a cup of tea. His brother Ernest was also at home. Witness saw nothing more of him. Witness identified the body in the morgue by the clothes. She could not account in any way for the boy getting into the liver. > , . (Ernest Smith (11)., a brother of deceased, stated that Bobby was not in the habit of going out by himself. After hearing other evidence, the Coroner recorded a verdict of “found drowned.”
