INDIA AND ANTONOMY.
FEELING IN BENGAL.
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT] (Received June 28, 11.35 p-m.) CALCUTTA, June 28. The newspaper “Bengalee,” commenting on the Marquis of Crewe’s statement, says it- is a pitiful spectacle of a Liberal leader; -repudiating the plain and solemn words of a despatch sanctified by the authority of the King, and adds that the Bengalese leaders will stick to the despatch. The ‘ ‘Arinita Bazaar’ ’ asks whether in view of the abandonment of a pretex for the change Bengal should not demand the restoration of the capital.
