NEW ZEALAND AND HER BEAUTY SPOTS. MINISTER FOR AGRICULTURE ENTHUSIASTIC. (From our Parliamentary Reporter.) ' WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. “As a scenic and health New Zealand is the world attraction,” remarks the Hon. T. Mackenzie in his annual report o<n tourist and health resorts. “It will,” he adds, “be my endeavor to maintain this national asset, and, while facilitating access to our beauty and wonder spots, preserve them in their original state, supplementing where advisable their natural attractiveness.” The Minister goes on to report that the tourist traffic during the year did not quite come up to 1909-10, the fall-ing-off being attributable to reduced travelling on t'he part of our own population. The oversea traffic Showed an increase, 'and there is every reason to anticipate even better results in this direction during the ensuing year. Tlie receipts from all sources were £26,657, as compared with £26,872 for tlie previous year, and the expenditure amounted to £44,338 as against £45,238 for the previous year.
