VESSEL IN A SAFE POSITION. Press Association. AUCKLAND, last night. The scow Waikonini is the vessel reported yesterday to he ashore at Pekin. Messrs. W. and G. Winstone,
Ltd., tho owners, have received a telegram from the master, Captain McDermott, who says that the vessel ; s ashore in a safe position and tho -rev, all safe. It is not known whe- ! o’ she was driven ashore or beached.
