Melbourne, May 14,
The ship Illawarra has arrived. Fhe reports that on March 13, about about five hundred miles from Tristan da Aounha, she saw a barque on fire, and bore down towards her, but owing to contrary winds it took seven hours to reach the spot. By that t'me the vessel was a smouldering mass. There was nothing to indicate her naipe. She had been forsaken by the crew, of whom nothing was discovered.
