HOTEL CASE.
A LICENSEE FINED,
(Par Press Asaooiatfoa.) Wellington, last night. At the Otaki Magistrate's Court Dobson, proprietor of tbe Manakou Hotel, wa3 obarged with refusing to supply a commercial traveller, Mr Caulfield, with refreshment and accommodation. A dispute bad arisen over the quality of the feed supplied to Caulfield’s horse. On the other hand it was alleged that Caulfield s oasceaeiveDess l Q d to tho refusal, whioii t 0 Magistrate said would not justify Dobson refusing to supply him with accommodation. A counter charge against Caulheld for usiDg threatening language and refueiDg to leave licensed premises when requested to do so was dismissed, and Dobson was mulcted in fines and costs amounting to £7 63 83.
