By Tolograph—Press Association. Greytown North, last night. Magnificent weather was again experienced to-day for the cricket match Wairarapa versus Lord Hawke's team. Play was resumed at 10 a.in., when Dowson und Leatham, with their respective totals standing at 52 and 5, again went to tho wickets. Just after play' commenced Dowson sent an easy catch. It was missed, and a few minutes later he gave another opportunity to a fieldsman and it was not accepted. Two hundred appeared on the boards. At 208 several changes of bowlers were effected, but proved fruitless, and the puir continued to rattle on tbe score for half an hour. Madsen, the top scorer of the first innings for Wairarapa, was associated with Perry, but hopes of a repetition of his performance were misplaced, as after obtaining a couple of byes he sent one to Bosanquet, who held it tightly. 14 —7— 0. Laurenson played two for nil, and in the next ovor Bosanquet accepted an invita-

tion to catch him. 27 —9 —o. Renall scored two, and was caught by Whatman. Ticehurst did Jikowise. Beechy repeated the performance of the two previous strikers, and the board read 34 for twelve. F. Hawke and Ogier followed suit, and were disposed of for an addition of one to tho total. H. Madson, Candy, and Galway took tho total to 43. When 53 was recorded sixteen wickets were down. One more was added for the next wicket, and eighteen were down for 58. At 4 o’clock the partnership between Nicholls and Feast, which produced 25, came to a termination, Feast being caught by Bosanquet. Keys joined Nicholls, and raised the score to 104 —20 —31, Frith partnered, and played careful cricket until 119, when Bosanquet caught him in the slips. The innings concluded showing Wairarapa boaton by an innings and 91 runs. The analysis of tho Englishmen showed : Hargreaves six for 25, Thompson eight for 27, Burnup throe for 33, Dowson one for 5, Bosanquet two for 19. Wairarapa bowling analysis : Cargill none for 46, Keys ono for 47, Frith one for 37, Judd ono for 55, Ticehurst none for 30, Cobcroft one for 55, Hawke one for 57, Logan none for 18, Beechy none for 24. Tho visitors left for Wellington this evening.

AUCKLAND V. TARANAKI. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Hawera, last night. The crickot match between Auckland and Taranaki commenced to-day. The home team went first to the wickets, and made 129. The highest scorers wore Pratt 18, Cole 11, McCarthy 46, Gudgeon 17. N. B. Lusk took 6 wickets for 40, H. Lusk 3 for 24, Southall 2 for 10, Barclay 1 for 44. The Auckland men made 132 in their first innings, tho highest scorers being H. Lusk 32, Gleeson 37, Campbell 29, N. B. Lusk 13. McCarthy took 5 wickets for 31, Glasgow 4 for 23, Elliott 1 for 15. Taranaki in their second innings made 190 for five wickets; Pratt 63, Gardner 43, F. Bobertson 30, McCarthy (not out) 19.
