At Palmorston to-day, boforo Major Keddell, S.M., James Hogan, of Flag Swamp, was committed for trial on a charge under section 52 of the Electoral Act of having, on tho 25th November, applied for a voting paper in the name of (Robert Hogan, jun. Accused, who was under the influence of liquor, entered tho booth at Dunbaek, and when the name r Kobort Hogan, jun., Hawkebury, farmer, was road oufc, said “ That s me, whoreupon ho was handod a voting paper. Not much intorest was taken in the poll for the election of throe members of the Drainage Board. Dr Coughtrey, Mr J. B. Handcock, and Mr James Dazlett were Mectod.
