MOTOR BUS SERVICE.

FROM NAPIER TO TARADALE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, last night. A contract has just been signed between tho representative of a local syndicate and tho F. Knowles Automobile and Motor Power Co., of Buffalo, United States, and Sydney, for the supply of a bus to run on tho Taradalo road. The vehiclo is to be built on the double-deck principle to hold thirty-two passengers. It is to be of the latest 1903 model, and will run at tho rate of twelvo miles an hour. The cost of the motive power, it is said, will be Id per mile. It is expected that several of tho machines will shortly bo supplied to tho same purchasers. This is tho first motor bus sorvico instituted in tho colony, although negotiations, wo learn, are in progress in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Wanganui, Nelson, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
