U.S. Naval And Air Forces In Britain

Replying to a question in the House of Commons today, the Prime Minister, Mr. C. R. Attlee, said the only foreign armed forces in Britain were American consisting of 150 naval personnel, including the headquarters of the Com-mander-in-Chief of the United States naval forces in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean and about 10,000 air force personnel, comprising three medium bomber groups with headquarters and administrative units equipped with about 108 aircraft.
