GRASS FIRE
A slight grass fire —the first since last summer in the Gisborne Borough—brought out the Gisborne Fire Brigade on Saturday night. The fire occurred in a patch of long grass near the Turanganui golf course, on the corner of Aberdeen and Stanley Roads, at 5.35 p.m. and was extinguished with the use of bucket pumps;
