RECORD CROWD AT P.B. HUNT CLUB'S TRIALS AT TARUHERU
A record crowd watched the hunters’ trials held by the P.B. Hunt Club on Saturday on the property of Mr. R. H. Biggar, Taruheru. Results of trial events and the winners of prizes were: Maiden Hunters’ Trial (for horses that have never won a jump of any description). —Miss J. Moore, 1; B. Hansen, 2; M. R. Moore, 3.
Hunters’ Trial For Men.—B. R. U. Burke, 1; H. Morice, 2; M. R. Moore, 3; J. Mclldowie. 4. The winner received the Holden Cup and a trophy donated by Mr. C. E. Davis. Hunters’ Trial For Women.—Mrs. B. R. U. Burke, 1; Miss Rutledge, 2; R. Harris’ horse ridden by Miss R. Moore, 3; Miss S. Fields’ horse ridden by Miss G. Jackson, 4. The winner received the Rangi Bruce Memorial Cup, a miniature cup presented by Mr. M. R. Moore and a whip presented by Mr. J. H. McNeill. Hunters’ Trial For Boys.—J. Mclldowie, 1; J. I-laisman, 2; M. Taylor, 3 and 4.
Hunters’ Trial For Girls.—Miss C. McFarlane, 1: A. Hutchinson, 2; B. McFarlane. 3: S. Cameron, 4. The winner received a cup donated by Mrs. Cave. Best turned out rider.—Lady: Miss M. Hayes. Boy: B. Milligan. Girl: Miss K. Hansen.
Girl rider showing most improvement in season (prize presented by Mrs. H. B. JefTcrd).—Miss I. Jackson. Boy showing most improvement in season (prize presented by Mr. R. D. Donald).—M. Taylor.
