FARMER LOSES HAND IN BLASTING ACCIDENT

A farmer lost his left hand yesterday in a blasting accident. He was Mr. Arthur 11. Roachc, married. Woodlands, Opotiki. He was blasting large lumps of concrete in a hav shed which was recently destroyed bv fire when one charge failed to explode. After leaving it for some time Mr Roachc decided to invest:gate. The charge exploded in his hand.
