Visiting Speakers At Baptist Church

The inspirational and evangelistic meetings being conducted in the Baptist Tabernacle by the Rev. G. C. and Mrs. Reay and Mr. and Mrs. L. Buckley began on Saturday evening. Mr. Reay and Mr. Buckley spoke upon the subject of revival. Mrs. Reay and Mrs. Buckley sang as a duet “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

Yesterday morning Mr and Mrs. Reay conducted the service at the Te Hapara Baptist Church, where Mr. Reay spoke upon "The Blessing of Whitsunside” and Mrs. Reay sang Handel's “Through the Noise of Earth’s Ten Thousand Voices.” Mr. Buckley spoke at the Tabernacle upon “The Second Coming,” and the Tabernacle Choir sang "Would You Be Ready?”

At the evening service Mrs. Reay and Mrs. Buckley sang as a duet “All Tilings In Jesus," Mr. Reay spoke upon “Inescapable Facts,” and Mr. Buckley upon “What Christ Means To Me." The Tabernacle Choir sang "Darkness and Light" and "Tel! Me The Old. Old Story.” Following the evening service there was a “friendly hour" and supper, during which the congregation had an opportunity to meet the visitors. The meetings have continued throughout this afternoon, and this evening Mr. Reay and Mr. Buckley will speak on the subjects “Why Was I Born?” and "Our Spiritual Birthright.’ “The Glory and Greatness of Christ" will be Mr. Reay's subject for tomorrow evening.
