POOR ATTENDANCE AT TOLAGA BAY MEETING
(Special) TOLAGA BAY. June 2. The annual meeting of the Reynolds Hall committee was held in the Reynolds Ilall last night, there being present nine members of the existing committee, but no public representation. Mr. E. B. Condell remarked that the committee was disappointed at the very poor attendance and lack of interest by the Tolaga Bay residents. Mr. J. B. Morris was in the chair.
Tlie annual report and balance sheet were adopted, on the motion of Mr. .1. B Morris, seconded by Mr. P. S. G. Thornton.
It was proposed by Mr. H. Irving and seconded by Mr. Morris that the existing committee, with the exception of Mr. H. Laing, who declined, be reelected, absentee members. Messrs. I. Shaw. I. James and J. Robison, to be given leave of absence.
Mr. E. Mitchell, who was not present, was proposed by Mr. Morris and seconded by Mr. H. Irving, subject to his acceptance. The Reynolds Hall Committee is elect gel fo office subject to the approval of the trustees. Mr. J. B. Morris and Mr. P. S. G. Thornton. It was proposed by Mr. V. Ilurlstone. and seconded by Mr. Morris, that the following recommendation he made to the incoming committee, “that a reserve fund be started to cope with depreciation, the minimum being £SO per year.’’
It was also recommended that the incoming committee make an investigation into the china and cutlery owned bv the hall.
Mr. H. Laing was elected auditor, and a vote of thanks for past work done by Mr. Laing was proposed InMr. Ilurlstone and seconded bv Mr. Irving.
