INCREASED RATES AT MORRINSVILLE

Store lambs and breeding ewes were keenly sought after at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday, and increased rates were paid. Prices were in advance of last week’s rates for a large entry of fat sheep. Fat cows and heifers sold exceptionally well at slightly firmer values. Recent high values were well maintained for boner and store cows, and an offering of P.A. cows and yearlings made recent quotations. Prices: — Sheep.—Fat wethers, 56s to 58s 3d; medium, 52s to 545; medium fat ewes, 35s to 37s 6d; heavy fat lambs, 45s to 475; medium, 40s to 435; light, 34s to 38s; good b.f. store lambs, 27s to 295; medium, 23s to 275; fat and forward 2-th wethers, 545; s.m. ewes in lamb, 35s 3d.
