VETERAN DRIVER WINS NEW ZEALAND BEACH CAR CHAMPIONSHIP
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 3 The xeteran racing driver, G. C. Smith, of Auckland, had a comfortable win in the New Zealand beach championship of 50 miles at Muriwai on Saturday. He drove a Ford V 8 and exceeded 110 m.p.h. on the straights. His time was 40min. 44,Gsec. Two Christchurch drivers. H. Green and P, M, Hoare, were second and third respectively. Green drove a Wolseley Special and Hoare an R. A. special.
