EXTENSION OF POWER TO PEHIRI DISTRICT
The supply of electricity to settlers in the Pehiri district was brought as far as Mr, A. B. C. Steele's residence a few days ago. the chairman, Mr. F. 11. Ball, reported to yesterday's meeting of the P.B. Electric-Power Board. Mr. Steele, who is a member of the board, said that, although there was still a long way to go, a good start had been made and the new machinery and men engaged on the programme were doing the job well. All co-opera-tion was being shown to get the line through in quick time and he expressed thanks on behalf of the settlers.
