TREE DESTRUCTION
Sir, —One is staggered and hurt over the almost destroyed trees in Cheeseman Road when one thinks how the late Mr. Kenway planted them and put iron guards to keep animals off. Now, when they have grown into beauteous shade and he has died, the human arrives with his axe. One wonders if civic pride can get them far in this age of destruction. TREE LOVER.
