H. 5.0.8. (A) BEAT CLUBMATES 14-5
After leading by 11 points at the change-over, H. 5.0.8. (A) juniors could only add three points to their total in the second spell, but this was sufficient to enable them to defeat their clubmates, H. 5.0.8. (B), who scored a converted try. The winners were definitely on top in the first spell and called the tune for a period in the second half, but H. 5.0.8. (B) later revealed better form and more than held their own. The losers could be termed unlucky on one or two occasions in the second spell when opportunities of scoring went begging. For H. 5.0.8. (A) tries were scored by C. Gibson, M. Parkes, Cowley, R. Whitfield, and R. Woon converted one of them. B. Alley scored a try for H. 5.0.8. (B) and B. Hanson converted it. The referee was Mr J. Hadwen..
