MR. AND MRS. N. MAXWELL, KaiInanga, Ruatoria, and Master W. Maxwell, were recent visitors to Gisborne, staying at the Royal Hotel. INSPECTOR J. CROWLEY, officer-m----charge of the Gisborne police district, is paying a short visit to his family in Christchurch.

WING COMMANDER WILFRID G. CLOUSTON. who is in charge ot operations, No. 12 Fighter Group. Newton. Nottingham, is visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Allan W. Clouston, Wellington. He will be returning to England about the middle of next month. MR JOHN FORRESTER - PATON, president of the World Alliance of the Young Men’s Christian Association, is expected to arrive at Auckland by air tomorrow, after attending a Y.M-C.A. conference for South-East Asia at Bangkok. Mr. Forrester-Paton, who is a director of Paton and Baldwin Limited, last visited New Zealand over 40 years ago.

GENERAL A. W. T. ORSBORN, head of tile Salvation Army, and Mrs. Orsborn will leave Vancouver on February 23 of next year for New Zealand, where they expect to lead meetings at Wellington, Napier, Dunedin, Christchurch, Palmerston North, and Auckland. When they leave New Zealand they will attend Australian congresses at Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and large gatherings will be held at Adelaide and Perth. They will go on to Indonesia and Singapore and expect to arrive gack in England on June 11.
