REMANDED ON SERIOUS CHARGE
Whare Matangi Hiki, aged 60, labourer, Manutuke, appeared in the Gisborne Magistrate’s Court yesterday on a charge of indecent assault against a IOJ-year-old girl at Ruatahuna on February 19 last. At the request of Sergeant D. M. Campbell, the accused was remanded by Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., to appear at Ruatoria on August 17.
