JURY DISAGREES AT RETRIAL OF TAILOR
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 16. The jury failed to reach an agreement yesterday at the retrial of a tailor, George Cecil Horry, aged 41. on a charge of having assaulted a married woman in the Auckland Domain. The retrial was conducted by Mr. Justice Callan. An order was made for a new trial at the next session. _ Horry was found guilty on this charge at the May sessions and was subsequetly sentenced to three months imprisonment, but tiro Court of Appeal held that certain evidence had been wrongly admitted, quashed the conviction and ordered a retrial. That trial was taken before Mr. Justice Stanton last week and the iurv failed to agree.
