IMPRACTICALITY OF N.Z. IN SHEFFIELD CRICKET
(P.A ) CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 15. No proposal that New Zealand should take part in Australian Sheffield Shield cricket has been considered by the New Zealand Cricket Council. An unofficial view here is that such a scheme is unpractical and would mean that a number of leading Dominion players would have to spend the best part of every summer doing nothing else but play cricket. Leave considerations alone prevent that.
