RUGBY FANS CUT WAY IN
(10 a.m.) Johannesburg, Aug. 14. Despite the excellence of the control arrangements at Ellis Park, it is estimated that several ’ thousands gate-crashed their way in. The length to which some people were prepared to go to gain admission was revealed later when it was found that a big hole had been cut in one fence, apparently with an oxyacetvlene torch.
