CUSTOMS TARIFF DETAILS PUBLISHED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 13. The New Zealand Customs Department has published a volume containing detailed information of the present Customs tariff.
It shows the position at April 15 of this year incorporating modifications made bv the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade which became effective at the end of July, 1943. The present volume covers tariff rates on 449 items and groups of items. It also gives detailed information on such matters as excise duties, primage duty, surtax, trade agreements, drawbacks, dumping duty, motor vehicle imports, (he reduction and remission of duly and prohibited imports.
