Two Organisations Listed By Delegates As Communist Auxiliaries
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. May 23. The Society for Closer Relations with Russia and the Women's Charter movement were declared Communist auxiliaries in a resolution adopted by the annual conference of the Labour Party on Saturday. Members of the Labour Party will not be permitted to join or lend support to either of these organisations. The national executive, in its report to the conference, claimed that it was evident that both the Society for Closer Relations wjith Russia and the Women’s Charter movement were closely associated with the Communist Party. The executive held the opinion that there was full scope within the Labour movement for members to interest themselves in any of the objectives professed to be the aim of either of the organisations concerned
The official report issued by the conference said that the decision was reached on the recommendation of the executive and with one dissentient.
