JOBS AVAILABLE PROVIDED NO TAGS INVOLVED
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 20. “Jobs are available for carpenters desiring to return to work, provided no tags are involved.” 1 This statement was made today by the secretary of the Auckland Master Builders’ Association, Mr. M. F. Bunker, commenting on the report from Wellington that the Auckland carpenters had been asked to resume normal work. Mr. Bunker said that the most recent estimate of the number of carpenters still out of the building industry was 700, but this figure had probably been reduced during the past week or so.
