Gisborne Student Burned In Capping Day Mishap
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 6. Two university students, Mr. E. Wong, Wellington, and Mr. A. B. Williams, Gisborne, received burns necessitating their admission to hospital when explosions set fire to an old motor car in which they were travelling as part of the Wellington capping day procession. It is understood that the students were using flash powder to produce explosions when the accident occurred.
Mr. A. B. Williams is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Williams, 537 Ormond road.
