(P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 16. New Zealand will be represented at the International Federation of Agricultural Producers’ Conference at Guelph, Canada, by a delegation from Federated Farmers of New Zealand, Inc., comprising Messrs. R. G. Buckleton and J. Andrew. The Minister of Agriculture. Mr. E. L. Cullen, has announced that at the specific request of Federated Farmers, Mr. R. B. Tennent. assistant Director-General of Agriculture, would accompany the delegation as official adviser.

“After the conference the New Zealand delegates will visit certain localities in the U.S.A. where climatic and soil conditions are similar to those of the Dominion,” stated the Minister. ‘The Government has agreed to Mr. Tennent accompanying the delegation with a View to promoting interest in New Zealand pasture seeds in the U.S.A.”

Whilst on this mission Mr. Tennent will arrange for official trials of New Zealand seeds by various research and extension organisations, and it is hoped that as a result of this mission the export market for New Zealand seeds will be widened.
