DATES APPROVED FOR N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS ON HASTINGS LINKS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. April 8. The 1949 national golf championships will be played on the Hastings club’s course from September 10 to 17, both days inclusive. This was announced by Mr. G. O. Sutton, the secretary of the New Zealand Golf Association last evening. The foursomes championship will be the first event. The open championship will begin on the Monday and the amateur and professional championships on the Thursday.
Playtos and Mesalliance are back in work again at Awapuni. Both look well after a respite from training.
