Britons To Guard Citizens In Germany
(11 a.m.) LONDON. Mar. 7. The Minister of State, Mr. Hector McNeil, told the House of Commons today that it was proposed to train British civilian members of the control commission in Germany for temporary protection of British lives and premises in event of a civil disturbance. They would act until the armed forces of occupation could take over. Members of the force would carry small arms. Mr. McNeil assured a questioner that volunteers would not be used for strike breaking.
