BUILDING PERMITS
Twenty-three permits for the erection of and alteration to buildings and dwellings were issued by the Gisborne Borough Council last month. The total value of the contemplated work was £20,259. Of his amount £14.780 was to be spent in the erection of eight houses. In February last year the value of building permits issued was £5190, which included three dwelling houses at a total cost of £4OOO.
